The Mount Calvary Early Learning Center (MCELC) is an outreach ministry sponsored by Mount Calvary Lutheran Church and has served the community proudly since 1989. The primary goal of MCDC is to provide quality childcare for children while they are away from home. We strive for an environment that is safe, loving, and secure. Developmentally appropriate learning experiences promote the social, physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual needs of preschool learners.

MCELC is open from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM on Monday through Friday all year long. MCELC offers full-time day care for children from infant through age five. In addition, MCELC offers before and after school care for school-age children. If you are interested in enrolling your child in the program, please call the center at (540) 477-9645 . The Maximum enrollment is 52 children with an average child/teacher ratio of 10:1. The center accepts children on a first come, first serve basis.

Hello Spring! We are so excited that the weather is getting nicer and the children are able to spend time outside!

The teachers have planned a lot of fun activities for the children for the month of April! Themes for the month are Easter, Weather, Earth Week, and Life Cycle/Pond life. The center is also participating in the Trike-A-Thon to raise money for St.Jude Children's Hospital. THe children will be able to bring their bikes and helmets and ride their bikes in the back parking lot.

The staff and children want to continue to express our sincere gratitude to the church congregation and the Board of Directors for their continued support. We are truly BLESSED!

We are still currently in need of paper towels, hand soap, baby wipes (we use these to clean children's faces), Lysol spray and wipes and bleach. Thank you in advance for your support.

We have several birthdays to celebrate during April. Let's wish a Happy Birthday to Delancy, Jeremiah, Kate and Noah, Ms Barbara, and Knox!
