Mount Calvary Day Care Center and Preschool
The Mount Calvary Day Care Center (MCDC) is an outreach ministry sponsored by Mount Calvary Lutheran Church and has served the community proudly since 1989. The primary goal of MCDC is to provide quality childcare for children while they are away from home. We strive for an environment that is safe, loving, and secure. Developmentally appropriate learning experiences promote the social, physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual needs of preschool learners.
MCDC is open from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM on Monday through Friday all year long. MCDC offers full-time day care for children from infant through age five. In addition, MCDC offers before and after school care for school-age children. If you are interested in enrolling your child in the program, please call the center at (540) 477-9645. The Maximum enrollment is 52 children with an average child/teacher ratio of 10:1. The center accepts children on a first come, first serve basis.

Day Care News (February)
Hello, everyone!
 We have some exciting activities planned for the month of February. We will be visiting the post office to mail cards that the children will be making for their parents. While at the post office, we will be taking a tour.
On February 14th, the children will be having a Valentine’s party. They will be exchanging card and eating a special lunch as well as having some
yummy treats.
On the 15th, we will be having a spa day. The boys will be able to get a new hair style and the girls will get their nails and hair done. We have had spa days in the past and both the boys and girls really enjoy it!
Our enrollment has increased slightly since the January newsletter article: we’ve gained three 2-to-5-year-olds. Our enrollment is now:
Infants and toddlers......................... 4
2-to-5-year-olds............................. 28
School-age children....................... 18
Public schools preschool children.... 4
TOTAL........ 54
